THE BEST SINCE 1954

We have been perfecting this for a long time! Read on to learn about the history of Waymatic…

Our Founding Father.

Waymatic welding and fabricating was founded in 1954 by welder, entrepreneur & WWII Veteran T.J. Easterwood of South Fulton, TN.

The first “Waymatic”.

The name “Waymatic” was coined from a machine T.J. invented and manufactured. The machine was a combination filler and automatic weight regulator for bagging of free-flowing dry materials such as popcorn, grain, seed or feed. This machine could be used in conjunction with any existing platform scale, making it an automatic weighing scale. Here is an early advertisement for the first Waymatic.

Early Success.

The automatic bagger was success with feed mills across the United States and Mexico. Many of the baggers are still in operation today.

One step closer.

With automatic bagger sales booming T.J. starting branching out by designing & building custom Tool Boxes for local business vehicles. This got Waymatic one step closer to its future specialty.

Our First Trailer.

In 1954 T.J. built a small special events trailer for a local Pepsi-Cola bottler. As a result, thousands of Waymatic concession trailers have been sold world-wide to corporations and individuals.

Waymatic Today.

Building on T.J.’s earlier successes and his adamant attention to quality and craftsmanship, today Waymatic is a 165,000 sq. ft. facility in South Fulton, TN.
